  27.     I remember reading somewhere that the USSR they report altitudes in
  28. meters.  What happened during the Apolo/Soyuz joint missions?  Presumably
  29. the two sets of mission controllers had to agree on one or another set of
  30. units, not to mention the folks who built the docking adaptor?
